Summer Intern, Corporate Finance
The role will include
- Helping produce company investor presentations and Longspur pitch materials
- Helping execute project finance and M&A transactions
- Helping build and maintain company financial and valuation models
- Researching and presenting news in the clean energy industry
- Completing an individual project to be presented to senior management
- Other tasks to support our growing business
Applicants must have
- Currently in your penultimate year of university, graduating in 2028, and on track for a 2.1 degree or above in a relevant degree
- Excellent attention to detail and strong business English writing skills
- Self-discipline and high motivation to work in investment banking
- A genuine interest in the clean energy / cleantech industries, evidenced through coursework, societies, projects or prior work experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced understanding of PowerPoint & Word skills
- Solid Excel skills and a genuine interest in financial modelling, ideally with some exposure to three-statement, DCF or project finance models (e.g. cash flow waterfalls, debt sizing); formal training such as a modelling course is a plus but not essential
Preferred (not required)
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) to support research, analysis and document preparation
- Prior work experience that demonstrates commercial awareness and interest in corporate finance
- Attendance at a relevant spring week, insight day, or finance society event
- Some awareness of capital raising and M&A trends and activities

Graduate Analyst, Corporate Finance
The role will include
- Producing company investor presentations and Longspur pitch materials
- Supporting execution of project finance and M&A transactions, from origination through to completion
- Building and maintaining financial and valuation models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions
- Conducting industry and company research to support live mandates and business development
- Assisting with due diligence, data rooms, and transaction documentation
- Taking on increasing responsibility across live deals as the programme progresses, with structured on-the-job training and mentoring throughout
Applicants must have
- Graduating in 2027, with a 2.1 degree or above, in a relevant subject (finance, economics, engineering, or a related discipline)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with genuine commercial awareness of the clean energy / energy transition sector
- Excellent attention to detail, strong business English writing and presentation skills
- The ability to manage multiple work-streams concurrently, under pressure and to deadline
- Self-discipline and high motivation, with a clear, demonstrable drive to build a long-term career in the sector
- Prior internship or work experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a closely related financial services field
- A solid understanding of capital raising and M&A
- Advanced PowerPoint & Word skills for preparing investment presentations
- Advanced Excel skills: three-statement financial modelling, charting, and company valuation (DCF / comparable company analysis)
Preferred (not required)
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve the speed or quality of analytical work
- Direct experience working on live corporate finance or M&A transactions (e.g. via a prior internship)
- Strong awareness of capital raising and/or M&A deal cycles and processes
- Familiarity with Bloomberg / CapitalIQ / FactSet
- Participation in relevant investment societies, trading competitions, or extracurricular finance programmes
- Fluency in a European language
